Sometimes you just have to take a breath, step back, and look at what is really going on.
What is going on is that the Democrat Party are showing their true colors, and it is not pretty. Thanks to PowerLine blog, quoting the Daily Caller:
“Democratic operatives responsible for creating their party’s platform this year have unanimously adopted a provision calling for the Department of Justice to investigate companies who disagree with Democrats on global warming science.”
Currently, there is an assault by Democrat Attorneys General from several states on fossil fuel companies to see if they have misled consumers on the dangers of climate change. This whole thing is a fishing expedition mounted to achieve political gain. The effort has nothing to do with science, and never has. It is all about money and control.
Recently, ExxonMobile has refused to cooperate with subpoenas to deliver fifteen years of records and emails to these attorney generals. The reason is clear. Even corporations have the right of free speech. What is becoming clear is that these attorneys general have colluded with private advocacy groups and other liberal organizations to squelch the very successful resistance against ridiculous climate change programs espoused by President Obama.
It’s all about politics and money.
It is very interesting but heavy handed environmental government mandates is one of the reasons the Brits have voted to leave the European Union.
Free speech is under assault by the Democrat Party, and their target is whoever disagrees with Democrats.
You can’t make this stuff up.
